Admission Process & Eligibility Criteria

Programme Overview: The Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) is a four-year (8-semester) undergraduate degree program offered in disciplines such as Painting and Applied Art. Admission to the BFA program at our institute is based strictly on merit obtained in the Maharashtra Applied Arts and Crafts Common Entrance Test (MAH AAC CET).

This program is affiliated with Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur.

MAH AAC CET – Entrance Examination

The Maharashtra Applied Arts and Crafts Common Entrance Test (MAH AAC CET) is conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Mumbai, for admission to various Fine Arts programs across Maharashtra. These programs include: 1) Painting 2) Applied Art 3) Sculpture 4) Textile Design 5) Interior Design   6) Ceramic 7)  Metal Work

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for admission to the BFA program, candidates must:

  • Have passed the HSC (10+2) or an equivalent examination
  • Have studied English as one of the subjects
  • Appear for the MAH AAC CET examination

Application Process –  Applications must be submitted online through the official website: https://cetcell.mahacet.org/ The entrance examination is conducted offline and includes both theory and practical components

Exam Structure

The MAH AAC CET consists of the following components:

  • Design Practical- 50 Marks
  • Object Drawing Practical -50 Marks
  • Memory Drawing Practical -50 Marks
  • General Knowledge (Theory) – 40 Marks
  • Intermediate Drawing Grade Exam – 10 Marks
  • Total – 200 Marks . 

Selection Process –  Admissions to the BFA program are granted based solely on the merit of the candidate’s performance in the MAH AAC CET.
