Basic-level short-term courses – Part-Time

The Hobby Course at the Government College of Art & Design, Nagpur is a six-month part-time program designed for individuals who wish to explore their artistic interests in a relaxed and creative environment. Ideal for working professionals, homemakers, retirees, and students, this course offers a joyful and meditative experience focused on self-expression rather than professional training.

Classes are held twice a week (3 hours per day), typically in the evenings or on weekends. Participants receive studio access, expert faculty guidance, and hands-on practice to build foundational skills in the following subjects:

  • Painting – Introduction to materials, color mixing, brush techniques, and basic composition.
  • Landscape – Study of outdoor scenes, perspective, and natural elements.
